Add gympsum and compost to your soil before planting new plants ... the compost gives it nutrients and the gypsum helps break up the clay soil we have here!

Because of the higher altitudes, the sun is more intense.  Give certain plants some afternoon shade for better growth and blooms!  This means as many plants as possible, except sun-tolerant cactus!
