RECIPE #09 SPIDERMITES Categories: Garden, Bugs For Spidermites use: 1/2C buttermilk with 4 C unprocessed wheat flour, add 5 gallons of water. This destroys most of the mites and eggs. Leave on until bugs are gone. Unprocessed wheat flour can be obtained from health food stores if not in your local grocery store. Another way is to make a tea with cedar shavings or sawdust and spray... Let the shavings or sawdust soak for a couple hours, then strain liquid and let sawdust or shavings dry and sprinkle in garden then spray that.. This keeps away squash bugs, Mexican bean beetles, red spidermites, mealy bugs and cucumber beetles...or you can work shavings into the soil. -----
